Ideas and inspiration come from a variety of subjects. In particular I feel inspired by colourful landscapes and nature which includes my own country garden. I enjoy painting in oils and watercolours. I love colour, texture and decoration, experimenting with paint on various surfaces
including ceramics.

My sketchbooks are most important as it is where my initial ideas are formed which I then work up into finished pieces using a variety of media such as painted textiles, collage, creative embroidery.
