For the group’s themed exhibition I do textile constructions, often using re-cycled materials to make Rag rugs in prodding, hooking or locker hooking techniques.

Small woven tapestries, using yarns of all kinds respun by spinning wheel or drop spindle to produce firm singles yarns to use in multiple strands for subtle colour graduation.

Recent study of Elizabethan clothing led to the technique of slashing or the currently popular similar ‘faux chenille’.
